First aid: treating gun and stab wounds

Most people (hopefully) will never be confronted with a person who has suffered gun or stab wounds and is in need for urgent medical attention. However, a hunting accident or some other situation might occur and you might be the first or only person present. Someones life might depend on your ability to administering some form of first aid. Most likely you wonder “what to do?”

Usually gun and stab wounds are not covered in your basic “run of the mill” first aid course. Luckily YouTuber Sootch00 has made a rather nice instructional video, together with YouTuber Skinnymedic, covering the basics of treating a gun or stab wound.Off course seeing just one video does not qualify you as a medic. But it can never hurt either. Sometimes doing something “halfway good”, is better than doing nothing at all. As such it we think this video might be useful. But always warn the emergency services in your area/country.
